Dianna Nixon spent the weekend of 16, 17, 18 August at St Clements Monastery, Galong, for the culmination of the Southern Tablelands Arts Peer 2 Peer program.
Over the past few months, pairs of peers worked together to explore, define, forward plan and troubleshoot their arts careers.
On this weekend in August the peers came together as a group to share their experiences, participate in arts activities, conversations, and a fabulous open mic night.
What an incredibly positive and joyous experience it has been.
We all have our own paths and timelines, and unless we are working on an extended project together, the opportunity for longform conversation rarely arises.
So thank you – Southern Tablelands Arts – and the NSW Government. This valuable time will, no doubt, seed a lot of future collaboration and creativity.
